Remove Blog / Web URLs from Google Search


As a Blogger, it is common to change the blog title. But changing the blog title will also change the blog's URL. When changing blog titles automatically they will be considered new titles when they are registered with Google Search Console.

But there is a problem when the old title is replaced with a new title. Old URLs remain indexed in Google Search. Only when someone opens the blog will only a 404 text appear.

This problem will be indexed by Google and will send a message to your Google Search Console account to notify that a new Breadcrumb problem has been detected for your site.

For this reason, it is necessary to make the old URL or blog with the old title no longer indexed in Google Search. And appear on Google pages when someone searches for something by writing down keywords.

How to delete the old URL on the blog that has been replaced or deleted:

When you get a message in your Google Search Console account. That there is a new detected Breadcrumb detected for your site. You can delete and remove the URL or blog.

1. See which URL or blog is the problem. Just click the message and click the Fix Breadcrumb problem button.

2. And you can see the URL detected. Hover your mouse over the URL and click like the image below to see the site in question. The site will open in a new tab that is the problem and you will see the site contains 404.




To resolve this problem, you can delete the URL so that it is no longer indexed in Google Search.

3. You can see on your Google Search Console homepage the words "Deletion" and you just click to start removing the URL of the problematic blog.

4. After you click the "Delete" button. You will see a removal page. Here you can see the "New Request" button. You click the button.

5. Then after that, there are two choices that you must choose, "Delete Temporary URL" or Delete Cached URL. "If you want to delete the problem URL, you can select" Delete Cached URL ".

6. The next step, you copy the URL on the problematic blog page and paste it in the "Enter URL" box.

7. Then you select or checklist the section "Remove this URL only".

8. Then you click the "Next" button

There will be a notification that this URL will be blocked for a period of six months. So you can still cancel it if you want it for the given time period.


9. The last step press the "Send Request" button.


Then your request will be processed. And the problematic URL page will no longer appear on the Google Search homepage.
